Bush Snap Beans

Bush Snap Beans could be parboiled for a delicious dish.

Bush snap beans are easy and simple to grow in almost any moderate climate and needs slight tending. They thrive on a bush-like plant and harvested when the pod is tender and young. Harvesting and shelling of the beans is also possible if the seeds are larger.

Start caring for the snap beans by planting it correctly. Rich soil in a sunny area will be the best location for the ideal growth. Row planting is ideal with every bean spread four inches apart. Keep the seedlings free from weeds and make sure to trim the bean plants in order to maintain the gap between each bean. A steady supply of water will be enough to grow the beans. Make sure that you will conduct daily checking of the soil; lightly water when the soil looks dry. Take the feeding of fertilizers of the beans into moderation and never over-feed them. The ideal feeding must be 3 lb. sprinklings of 6-12-12 fertilizer every 100-foot row thrice, once during planting, and then twice at growth. Unfortunately, snap beans are susceptible to pest, so check daily for pests. Harvest carefully by holding the bean pod top with your one hand and the stem with the other. Use pressure carefully on the bean pod.

For better results, continue doing this routine and always put proper care for the snap beans.
